King Mellophone Ser#93897 with Eb/F Converter Dial Needs Adjustments to Play
We are cleaning out the back of our warehouse – this is being sold in as is good used non playing condition needing a tweak.  Pictured is the actual item you will get so please look at the pictures closely.
This is a cool vintage mellophone.  The Eb/F Dial Converter needs some type of work as it is just not working quite right.  The third valve will need work and the lead pipe will need some repair. There is a metal patch on the lead pipe and it looks like there might be a few cracks coming from the patch (see pics)
It is not an unfixable instrument and King is known for having such a great sound!  If this were to be fixed up I’m sure it would be a really great little mellophone.  In its current condition it is still a cool vintage horn. It has approximately 55-60% of the lacquered finish remaining.  All of the tuning slides are stuck.  The third valve needs its braces so that the valve is not free moving inside the casing and so that it springs back up (see pics). All three finger buttons are missing and are not included.  No mouthpiece is included and it will need a trumpet mouthpiece. No case is included.   Engraved is “
King Made by The H.N. White Co. Clev’d. O.” (on the bell) -“King”- Made By H.N.White Clev’d. O. (above the serial number on the second valve).

Damage during Outbound Shipping: In the unfortunate chance your item is damaged, the following procedure must be followed exactly in order to process a refund. Failure to comply with the following procedures constitutes a violation of the return policy and therefore a refund will not be given. Please contact us immediately. Save everything, including the box, packing materials, and shipping label. Without the original box and packing materials, a claim cannot be made, and a refund will not be issued. Take a full set of pictures so the damage can be assessed. Don’t send anything back yet until we contact our insurance company.  We will tell you when you may ship the item back.  Please see instructions for return shipping below. If it is determined that the item was damaged in shipping, we will send you a return shipping label via eBay Messages.  Refunds will not be issued for merchandise, which has been damaged while in your possession.

Damage during Return Shipping:  The item will be inspected upon return and if the item is damaged during return shipping, we will contact you so you can file an insurance claim.  Because you are the shipper, we cannot initiate a claim.  Depending upon how much damage was sustained you may only get a partial refund or no refund due to the damage.
